The Giving Cloud - The CURED Foundation

One of the driving factors as to why I created Lark and Rose, was a personal need to create a community where moms and dads could lean on each other, laugh with each other, and get to the root of kindness to lift each other up. I struggled with all the ideas in my head to try and pull it together, I've had ambition since a child to tap into my creative side, but how could I do that and still give back? With this goal in mind, I am so happy to bring the clearest vision to fruition which is The Giving Cloud.

The Giving Cloud will give back to a feature charity each season with every item we sell. Not only are we trying to give back in the small way that we can, but we also want to bring awareness to the various efforts, diseases and conditions.

This season's feature charity is CURED (Campaign Urging Research for Eosinophilic Disease).

Why CURED is important to us

Our oldest son was diagnosed with anaphylactic food allergies when he was a baby. We had year after year of continued issues with stomach pain, acid reflux, and difficulty eating. Finally at age 6, he was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis, aka EE or EOE (eosinophilic oesophagitis). This disease is a chronic allergic inflammatory condition of the esophagus that involves eosinophils, which is a type of white blood cell. The build up in the esophagus causes varying symptoms for an individual.

Armed with at least knowing what it was, we traveled a somewhat lonely road in trying to maneuver what we needed to do to treat, understand and manage the disease for years. Then one day my husband stumbled upon CURED. 💜

It’s hard to explain the elation we felt to find a community who understood what EE/EOE was. Having a family is important and we were able to gain one with warriors from big to little with a mission to support one another and to try and find a cure.

Please join us in supporting and raising awareness for Eosinophilic Disease
